Description

Our government is based on the idea that the people, not the bureaucrats, run the country. If that is so, the people must understand the 25 structure of the government and how it functions. The course describes the different kinds of government, including those run by rulers and by the citizens, 50 and how they function. It also goes on to describe the development of our government as a unique form of government. The course also includes 75 a description of the groups that play a major role in how our government functions, including the political parties and the deep state. The framers 100 of the Constitution built in various checks and balances to ensure that the politicians did not steal the government from the people, including the structure 125 of the government itself. It created three distinct parts to provide a check on each of the others and divided Congress into two bodies to 150 insure that neither large States or small States could control the government but the two houses of Congress would balance each other. In addition, it limited the federal government and gave broad power to the States where the people could decide what was best for them. However, the greatest check on government is the people through a fair and secure ballot so I have dealt with making sure the voting is fair and secure.
