    In this lecture you will gain an understanding of what the GDPR is, how it fits into EU and UK law, the scope of the regulation and it's enforcement regime. Finally, you will understand how the regulation is affected by Brexit and the current position of the UK government.

    Please note that the situation on Brexit has just changed (on December 24th 2020) following the agreement of a Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and the UK, a summary of the new position is contained in a downloadable document. This should be read in conjunction with the lecture.
